Windows are one of the main sources of heat loss in a home during the cold seasons, allowing cold air into the home and pulling warm air out. Window inserts help prevent this heat loss by insulating the window and blocking the passage way for cold/warm air transference.
16 homes in the town of Unity and surrounding areas have signed up to receive window inserts. In order for them to receive their window inserts we need volunteers from the community to help with the assembly of them. Volunteer Positions

Window Inserts offer an inexpensive alternative to window replacement and can be re-used year after year. Inserts help reduce heating costs, fossil fuel consumption, and CO2 emissions by minimizing heat loss through windows - thus, reducing energy use. WindowDressers provides high quality locally sourced White Pine framed window inserts, at an affordable price; 22% of which are donated by the organization to low-income homes each year. |
